Hello new friend, I’m Hilary, former musical theatre performer [Rockettes, Broadway tour, and all that jazz]. In the midst of a career I loved, I was tired of waiting to be cast, get hired, for permission to be creative. And in between, doing mindless jobs like waiting tables I knew weren’t using my talent.
Nine years ago this month I had the lightbulb moment that I was meant to be a creative entrepreneur [full disclosure: I didn’t even know what an entrepreneur was the week before that]. I thought it would just be part-time, replacing my awful side jobs, supporting my dance career. A year later I was so in love with running a business I went full time.
Starting a business all on my own was one of the hardest things I’d ever done! Yet after years of challenges and mistakes, it became the most rewarding. I couldn’t love anything more. And it’s made me passionate about helping people like you over the last five years, to do it with more joy and less overwhelm.
